Strengthen Your Soul With Prayers from Scripture
This site is based on the simple concept
of praying daily with scripture.
This is a Daily Office, an ancient Christian practice of praying through each day
in the morning, at midday and the evening.
This kind of prayer helps keep us balanced and focused no matter what else the day brings to us, as our intention and decision to move this day with God precedes all else.

A Daily Office of Prayer & Scripture
Go to...
In the morning we are launching out into the new day... God knows what may come to us, but we don't always have much of a clue.
This is our moment to pause and dedicate ourselves and the day to God before we step out with courage & hope.
At midday we are taking a few minutes to review the day so far and to make sure we refocus our hearts and minds on those things which truly matter.
Like when we've sat too long and need to stretch our muscles, let's uncoil our spirits in prayer.
When we arrive at the evening we first need to make time for gratitude; the work and movement of the day are coming to a close.
As we bring the day in for a landing, what cares or anxieties do we need to give over to God before we can close our eyes and rest?
A Reflection Exercise...
Are you interested in a guided reflection on your life?
This exercise "My Life's Journey" is a prayerful adaption
of an examination of consciousness written by the late
Fr. Anthony de Mello, SJ. This is a chance to reflect on
all that God has been doing your life, in the good times
and the challenges.
Praying the Nicene Creed...
Many of us often recite the Nicene Creed in worship,
but do we pray it? Are the words recited from the heart
as an expression of faith and aspiration? This litany:
Repenting & Believing with the Nicene Creed
was written to help us pray the Nicene Creed,
to help us re-engage with these ancient words
in a meaningful and renewing way.
